ACT NOW!
AS A COMMUNITY WE ARE BEING RAPED!

Do Not Fall Asleep at the Switch & Let this Project Get Taken Away From Us. The Harlem community demands a voice as to to the choice of developer and the Fate of OUR Victoria Theatre. The Haarlem Victoria Restoration Group comprised of nearly 100% community members has the funds and capacity to provide a successful completion to a project that will benefit the whole community NOW!

Danforth Development Partners “THEM”
Haarlem Victoria Restoration Group “US”
?..Will Danforth provide 326 permanent jobs. What percent are maximum wage jobs?
HVRG can provide 530 permanent jobs and these jobs will be maximum wages as HVRG knows that we can't raise our families on minimum wages.

?..Of the proposed 1000 construction jobs, how many of the trades (carpenters, plumbers, electricians, etc.) will Danforth provide to the Harlem community?

HVRG will see that the majority of the jobs will be filled by Harlem community members as we are 52% or more unemployed.
?..What percentage of Danforth's development team is from the community?
Nearly 100% of HVRG's development team live, raise their families and work here in the Harlem community.
?..Will Danforth or the community U own U equity in the project?
HVRG and the community will own a minimum of 51% stake in the project- this is ownership and not a fee arrangement.
Danforth plans to demolish the Victoria Theatre, a historic Harlem legacy and a potential means to provide over 100 jobs to our community.
HVRG proposes to save and completely restore the theatre, thereby offering jobs, providing performance space for local artists; giving the community affordable access to attend shows and events.
?..What percentage of Danforth's Board is from the community?
HVRG board members are mothers, wives, sisters and daughters from the community. They work as WMBEs, entrepreneurs, community activists and volunteers.
Danforth is now asking the City and State for funds; with the economy being in deplorable condition. Is this forthcoming?
HVRG has it's private investors ready with the necessary funds NOW!

_____ACT NOW and be heard- EMAIL or FAX the offices of Govenor David Paterson and Assemblyman Keith Wright, Chairman of Harlem Community Development Corporation (HCDC). It is necessary that the community let Gov. Paterson know that his constituents are aware of the fact that one of his primary goals is to provide jobs and economic development for the New York area. URGE Govenor Patterson to intercede on behalf of the community regarding the Victoria Theatre project.
